Fall has officially arrived in Southern California! It’s time for pumpkin picking, hayrides and enjoying the beautiful weather. If you’re looking for ways to get into the spirit of the season with the whole family, these four fun fall activities in the Santa Clarita area are not to be missed.

1. Gilchrist Farm Harvest Festival and Pumpkin Patch
About 6 miles down the road from Skyline is a fall pumpkin patch like no other. The Gilchrist Farm Pumpkin Patch is happening now through October 31, every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Check out the free pig races, wool spinning and forging demonstrations. Other fun activities include pony rides, a straw bale maze, wagon rides, a farm train, archery, axe throwing, farm crafts, pumpkin decorating and more.

2. Hayrides at Agua Dulce Winery
Hang onto your hat and bring your camera for this one. Fall photo opportunities abound at the Agua Dulce Winery in Santa Clarita. Hayrides are happening every Saturday and Sunday in October, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Adult tickets are $10; kids’ tickets are $5. Enjoy an afternoon of festive fall surprises, estate wines, food and family fun.

3. Create Fall-Themed Crafts at Local Studios
Pumpkin-spice up your home décor this fall at one of the many creative studios here in Santa Clarita. Create your own rustic wood sign at Board & Brush, a D.I.Y. wood sign workshop. Paint your own fall-inspired pottery at As You Wish Pottery or Color Me Mine. If paint and sip studios are more your speed, Pinot’s Palette and Painting with a Twist offer fun ways to spend time with friends while creating fall- or Halloween-themed paintings – from spooky black cats to tree scenes. Let your creative juices flow!

4. Six Flags® Fright Fest
Ready for a frightfully good time? Six Flags Magic Mountain’s 28th season of Fright Fest is back for select dates: October 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 21-24, and 28-31. Monsters, ghouls and crazed characters are ready to strike fear in anyone who crosses their path. Other bone-chilling attractions include a dark and twisted photo experience, two new shows, 14 electrifying mazes and dare-to-enter scare zones with nightmarish zombies lurking around every corner.
