Skyline is all about the story you and your family will write for yourselves here. It began as a vision for a new kind of community. Here’s how that vision is becoming a reality.
With its stunning canyons, the Santa Clarita Valley has been the site of many Hollywood movies, old Westerns and TV shows. Now this prime Southern California land is ready for its own close-up. The terrain is rich with history and made up of precious rocks and minerals – this is where the California Gold Rush began, after all. The hills tell the stories of farmers, cowboys, explorers and movie stars – and invite you to start your own adventure here.
When you start with land as special as Skyline’s, care inspires every stage of development. The land plan dedicates nearly 80 percent of the community to surrounding trails and open space. Our road base and landscape designs reuse tons of rock unearthed during the grading of the land. Skyline also uses an innovative, water-efficient irrigation system designed with drip or point irrigation – something not typically found in master-planned communities. And native plants, relocated during construction, will all be reintroduced to the land. Skyline is both EarthSmart® and locally sourced.
Throughout the Skyline community are built-in, fun ways to learn about science and nature. Telescopes placed at scenic viewpoints and trails throughout the community share interesting facts about plants, stars and other natural features of the local habitat and the skies above.
Skyline showcases the vision, creativity and skill of one of the country’s most experienced master-plan developers, drawing on a century of service to our community. We helped to pioneer master-planned communities in 1970, developing Mission Oaks in Camarillo over the next 30 years. Fair Oaks Ranch and Aliento, just across the valley in Santa Clarita, further demonstrate how we bring a brand-new community to life.
